EARLY WW2 SPRINGFIELD U.S. MODEL 1903 RIFLE IN U.S.M.C. MARINE CORPS SERIAL RANGE. Original 1919 production in the 1014xxx range with nearly all recorded rifles in that range listed in Springfield records Marine Corps issue. Rebuilt at Springfield prior to WW2 with barrel date stamped “S A/ORDNANCE BOMB/5-38”. All new wood and Parkerizing in the A1 format. All original and excellent plus with all the wood finish and all the Parkerizing. Very tiny little toe chip easily fixed. Perfect working order and mint bore. Really nice example of the type of 1903 used early in the Pacific by the Marines. With sling.
